The Fall Bash is just about full. Today was the cut off for early bird pricing, so if I have already received your form and payment, your name is on this list. Beginning tomorrow morning, I'll be starting a waiting list for any registrations that come in. I know that several of you emailed me this weekend saying that it was just going in the mail... unfortunately, I just don't know at this point how many more we'll be able to take. Hopefully, we can squeeze a few more cropping tables in amongst the other areas that we need for make n takes, prizes, die cut center, cricut tables near the power sources, merchandise, raffles...and of course the buffet line.

I am going to physically measure the room and do a new layout with the groups that we have and go from there...give me a couple of days! Thanks for your patience...

Posted above, you'll see that I have 5 new page kits for December, they are $7.99 each or all five for $35.00. They are all done with Kaisercraft double sided paper and brads. Per prior requests, you'll get full sheets of all of the paper so that you can cut your own mats and titles. You'll also have plenty of paper scraps left over for cards. I'll try to get some card samples done with my scraps & posted as the week goes on. Kits will include 2 double sided background sheets and three full sheets of double sided coordinating paper plus flowers and brads as shown to create the page (brads may differ as the packs have a variety to coordinate with the line).

Since their paper comes to me in 10 packs, I was able to bring in 15 new lines for this month, but I only have 4 of each page kit because I needed 2 background sheets for each kit plus my sample. I'll take orders before the weekend for anyone who wants all 4 before selling them individually, I just ask that you pick them up this weekend... Please preorder if you want all four otherwise you may not be able to get a set! There will be extra paper of the coordinates as well as brads if you just want to create your own layout.

I'll have the other 10 lines available for purchase individually as I ran out of time for more kits!

If you don't have access to a machine to cut your own titles, you are welcome to do it at the mall. I'll have my machine plus the fonts I used.

Here's a new stamp line that I just ordered. The stamp pieces are mix and match and fit into a base so that you can make different combinations. You can even spell out your own greeting with fonts. This Weekend at the Mall

Tricia and I will be at the mall this weekend, August 7th & 8th, hours are Friday from 4-8 and Saturday from 10-4. Again, I will not be there until close to 5:30 on Friday, but I know a lot of you stop on your way home from work, so Tricia will be set up and ready by 4 PM.

Just a reminder that we can only take cash or checks, we no longer have a way to process debit or credit cards. There are several ATM's at the banks surrounding the mall.

We'll be doing another drawing for a tabletop supply caddy, make sure you fill out an entry form when you stop by.

However, since I often get requests for the kits of samples, I'm making up a few for purchase. Thanks to all of you who stopped in to say hi and shop. We sold out of all of the page kits, but if anyone is interested in one, I can make them up for you to order as long as I still have the paper. I'll be moving on to kits for other lines for next week.

As someone suggested to me last weekend, if you want the kit without the title, I can just include a strip of cardstock for you to make your own title at home when you put the page together. Just pre-order it that way and I'll have it put aside for you.

Our second weekend in June will be this coming weekend, June 12th & 13th. I'll announce the weekend for July in the next week or two, but I'm probably only going to be able to do one weekend in July due to family commitments and the 4th falling on a Saturday.

Oh, my, I hope that I haven't gotten your hopes up too high! I have been overwhelmed with excited emails this week after my announcement. My intent is to provide a source for cardstock with a few other goodies added each month. I thought that if I made up kits, it might encourage those of you who haven't had time to scrapbook lately to put together a few easy pages once in awhile. I've got the cardstock covered. Obsessive as I am, I put together a spreadsheet with all of the colors I have so I'd know what I still need to order. At this point, I've got over 300 colors to start with next week...49 of them are blue ; )

I'll be set up in the corridor just outside of the Rite Aid store, at the west end of the mall. It will be set up kind of like a show booth with tables for product. If you've attended or stopped in to shop during one of our all day crops, it will be a similar setup, except in the hallway. Since I don't have many racks left, cardstock will be sorted into crates by color. I'm keeping the cardstock in the packages so that the colors are labeled and the individual sheets don't get damaged. I'll ask you to save me the empty packaging so that I know what needs to be reordered. I do have a few paper racks for the patterned paper which I will match to cardstock for you ahead of time so you don't have to dig through the crates. I'll also have matching flowers, brads, etc for the lines that month. If you want something special...punches, special adhesives, etc, I may be able to order them for you, but won't be stocking those things regularly. Since I'll only be renting the space on the weekend, I need to bring everything from home, set up and tear down each time, so will stock product accordingly.

Now, the most important thing for you to remember, I can't take credit or debit cards. I have electric power to run the computer but not a phone line to run cards through, so can't offer that as an option. I'm sorry, I know it's inconvenient. I used to use my cards exclusively, but I will say that I have started to try to use cash or checks more so that I actually keep track of what I'm spending.

Okay, I have to preface this by letting you know that my husband thinks I'm totally crazy...

He doesn't understand that I need a selection of more than 30 different blues to get just the right color of cardstock to match my patterned paper. Of all of the comments I've gotten from customers, this is the most common...you miss the cardstock selection that Scrapbook Creations had. I do, too!!!

So, I've decided to rent some space in the corridor of the Perinton Square mall for a mini store. It will only be open on Friday nights (from 4-9PM) and Saturdays from 10 AM til 5 PM, and not every weekend, so you'll have to keep an eye on your email or my blog. I'll do at least 2 weekends a month and see how it goes; the more people I have shopping, the more likely I'll be able to add additional weekends. In June, we'll be there on Friday June 5th, Saturday June 6th, Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th. The following weekend is a maybe, as Tricia and I have dance recitals (I'll bet not many of you knew that I have taken up tap dancing...at least that's what our teacher calls it). The weekend of June 26th is Matt's High School graduation so that's a definite NO.

I've got over 200 new colors of Bazzzill cardstock sorted and all over my living and dining rooms, it's only about half of what we used to carry, but I promise that it's a great selection. The cardstock price will still be $.59 (less than Michael's $.69). I'm also planning on a new paper and embellishment line or two each month that I'll offer as individual pieces &/or as kits. I'll post pictures of the kits early in the week so that you can plan on coming in to purchase one if it's something you like. I won't be re-ordering paper lines, but may be able to re-order matching embellishments if they are still available and we have matching paper left.

I'll also have custom school titles and mascots for Fairport, Penfield, Victor and Honeoye Falls-Lima to start. If they go well and I get enough requests, I'll add custom paper for those schools and titles and mascots for additional schools.

I hope you're as excited about this as I am. Although I love having my life back and not working 7 days a week, I really do miss all of you and the business. I'm hoping that this will be a win-win situation for all of us, I get my scrapbook business fix, catch up with many of you and you can find a few new products and lots of cardstock to match all of that patterned paper that you have at home!

Cookie Recipe

Here's the recipe for the cookies at the crop over the weekend. Both Celeste's orange cookies and my chocolate-peanut butter chip cookies were actually made from the same cake mix cookie recipe. She used orange cake mix, I used devil's food. She said she often drizzles melted chocolate over the orange as well...

One Cake Mix, any flavor

2 eggs

1/3 cup of oil

One cup of any addition...chips, M & M's, raisins, etc

Mix it all together and drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.

These are super easy & good! My kids make them all the time for events that they go to.

Here are some pictures from Saturday's crop. I originally pulled my camera out early because I just had to get a picture of Meg with her yarn. She drove three hours to spend time with her friends and crochet blankets, a true friend! Unfortunately, I forgot to grab my camera the rest of the day, so I don't have pictures of everyone (some people were up and about or not there yet when I took pictures).

Between cropping fees and the silent auction, we raised over $1200 to go to Deb to help with her Bone Marrow transplant related expenses. My thanks to all of you who helped...

We have just three more spots available for this weekend's benefit crop. I've got most of the make n takes done, just waiting for a paper order that is SUPPOSED to be here by Friday! I'm posting some pictures here of the new dies that I got for the big Accucut machine. We don't take this machine to the retreats anymore because it takes too much space in my car, so you can take advantage of using it now. There's also a page sample done with the 4" square scalloped coaster and the scalloped card die...just not folded into a card. The coaster die is the same one that the chipboard albums are made out of. I need some ideas for the flower with stem die from some of you creative ladies, I bought it thinking it would work with the Technique Tuesday stamps, but it is not quite the right size...bummer.

Beautiful Weekend for the Public Market

What a beautiful weekend! My girls and I love going to the Public Market on Saturdays when the weather is nice; we went once in December and it wasn't so much fun! Tricia and I went this past Saturday and stocked up on veggies and potted herbs. Of course, she had to get a new purse as well. I restrained myself this time, though there was one I have my eye on for some other time!

She reminded me to take my camera so that I could take my picture of the day (I'm doing Project 365, though I didn't get one of Becky Higgin's kits, so am winging it). I wound up taking a bunch of pictures and thought it would make a great page of one of my favorite places in Rochester. BTW, I was afraid to ask what the chickens were doing there, but I had to take a picture of them.

Silent Auction on May 2nd
