Scrapbook Creations Memories

Scrapbook Creations Memories...

As many of you know, Keri Gray will soon be taking over the Retreats and Events for Scrapbook Creations in New York...

As this is a very bittersweet transition for me, I thought I'd post a few pictures of our years at the stores. I can't tell you how many wonderful memories I have of helping YOU preserve your memories!

As I scanned through my digital photos, I realized that many of my pictures were pre-digital, so the really early store pictures were developed from film.  I hope to find some time to scan some of them in and post them here as well...

Scrapbook Creations opened in September 1999 after a year of research & planning.  We opened a 2000 square foot store in Perinton Hills, which we quickly realized was not going to be enough space to house all the product that was flooding the market.  By the end of 2000, we started looking for a larger storefront & once we found one, we started ordering more fixtures and goodies to fill the new 3400 square foot space.

This is the Perinton Square store just after painting, before we moved the fixtures in from our former location in December of 2011...

We had so many customers driving from Syracuse the first few years that we decided to open a second location there in the fall of 2002.  Remember Mrs. Grossman's Stickers?  This was their Mrs. Grossman's wall the week the Syracuse store opened...

This was the cake for our first class of SDU graduates in the Fairport store... we had almost 200 graduates between the two stores...

This was the line waiting to get in to the Lisa Bearnson event in July 2004.  We had over 170 of you attend from both stores.  We donated all proceeds to from this event to the Golisano Children's Hospital.  Over the years, Scrapbook Creations donated over $8000 from various events & raffles to several other charities of your choice:   Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester after each Fall Bash, Ronald McDonald House, Hillside Children's Center, Open Door Mission, Alternatives for Battered Women, the American Red Cross after 9/11 and a few individuals who were experiencing severe health issues.

Here is Lisa with our staff from both stores after dinner at the Eastview Mall.  Over the years, we had many great customer service oriented employees at Scrapbook Creations who were a huge help to me running the day to day needs of the business!

Lisa was kind enough to stay late into the night to pose for pictures and sign autographs after her program!

You were all very patient waiting your turn for a photo opportunity & autograph!

Crop Around the Clock in January 2007

We had over 500 colors of cardstock at one time!!!

These are just a few of the pictures that I have of the store...and this is what scrapbooking is all about !!! As I look through pictures and post this, I relive those wonderful memories and realize how lucky I am to have this experience, meet so many wonderful people over the years and make so many lasting friendships.  Of course, without the patronage of the thousands of you who frequented our stores, none of it would have been possible!

Thank you for your support of Scrapbook Creations & all of the wonderful memories!!!

Watch for posts on Keri's events later this summer!
